When a karate-chopping first-grade kid named Charley moves in next door, Edward Fraser and his older brother, Jason, see mischief in the making. Charley is good at kicking, jumping, being loud, and running wild. He's not so good at staying out of trouble.
The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books: "It's always good to see old friends again, so it's a fine thing to herald the return of the amiable Fraser brothers, third-grader Edward and sixth-grader Jason. The Horn Book: "In this latest series entry, bespectacled brothers Edward and Jason Fraser get a new next-door neighbor, Charley, a frenetic first-grader. . .and there's plenty for fans of the series to enjoy: humorous dialogue... eccentric secondary characters. . . and, in Edward, an appealing third-grade protagonist whose enthusiasm for art and the theater make this a good choice for readers seeking something a bit more demanding than Tomie dePaola's Fairmount Avenue books."
Bonnie Fowler, Winston-Salem Journal: ". . .the addition of pesky Charley adds a new dimension to the Frasers' life, one that readers will immensely enjoy."
The Midwest Book Review: "Full of fun action, Leap Frog is another winning series addition, perfect for upper elementary school boys."
